Media Registration and Credentials

Accreditation and Registration

Media registration takes place in two steps:

1. Media delegates must first apply for accreditation by completing and returning the Media Accreditation Form. Your media credentials will be confirmed via email, with instructions for registration to the Congress via the online registration form.
2. Approved media delegates register to the Congress using confirmed password. Once you are registered, your badge will held for you at the onsite media registration desk. Please bring personal identification when picking up your pass. Your authorized media pass will give you to access to the full Congress program and the media room.

Advance registration is strongly recommended. We will be happy to assist you with interviews.

All requests must be accompanied by the supporting documents listed here:

Print Media: Newspapers, Magazines, Periodicals, etc.
Include one of following:

• A business card with your name, title and media outlet
• The masthead page of a current publication with name listed
• A copy of a by-lined article published within the last six months

Freelance Writers
A letter of assignment is required from the editor of the publication stating that you are covering the conference, or a copy of a by-lined article published within the last six months.

Electronic Media: Websites, Blogs
Provide website address and printed proof demonstrating original content related to science, education or experiential learning.

Videographers, Reporters, & News Magazine Producers
Provide a business card with your name, title and media outlet logo.

Members of the Media with Official Press/Media Cards
Provide a photocopy of your media card.

 The following DO NOT qualify for press badges:

• Art directors
• Public Relations representatives
• Advertising Sales representatives
• Marketing representatives
• Freelance photographers/videographers (without letters of assignment)
• Promotions representatives
• Editors/writers of in-house newsletters

Deadline

Media accreditation forms must be received by fax or email by June 13, 2008. After June 13, please bring your credentials with personal identification to the on-site media registration desk, Metro Toronto Convention Centre, North Building, 255 Front Street West, Toronto.
