Optional Tours and Activities

A variety of optional tours have been selected for participating delegates and accompanying persons who wish to enjoy some of Toronto’s many attractions. The tours below are available for booking through the congress registration form.

Note: All optional tours require a minimum number of passengers. If the minimums are not reached, the tour will be cancelled you will receive a notification and a refund will be issued on the purchased tour.

Sunday, June 15 : Walking Architectural Tour of Toronto

Toronto is a city that has drawn architects from all around the world as it has evolved from a rather small city into a remarkable world-class metropolis that boasts phenomenal architecture.

You will depart from a downtown location and enjoy a short walking tour of the city, highlighting Toronto’s beautiful architecture.

You will have the opportunity to visit some of the notable downtown buildings including:

  • The CN Tower - At 1,812 ft. high, the CN tower is the second-highest freestanding structure in the world.
  • Roy Thomson Hall - The award winning Roy Thomson Hall, with its honeycombed glass exterior that reflects the sky and the neighbouring city, is home to the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
  • The Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts – The Four Seasons Centre is the first building of its kind in Canada; a theatre built specifically for opera and ballet performances with the finest level of acoustics. The contemporary expression of traditional horseshoe-shaped auditorium provides unparalleled intimacy between the audience and the stage with every seat computer-tested for the best possible sightlines.
  • Old City Hall - Toronto’s Old City Hall was designed by the winner of a worldwide architectural competition - a Finnish Designer - Vilgo Revell.
  • New City Hall - The stunning and modernist structure of the New City Hall makes it an ideal symbol of a dynamic and growing city.
  • Brookfield Place - Formerly known as BCE Place, the Brookfield Place is a fabulous building that is a classic example of a public art enclosure with a stunning galleria. The Hockey Hall of Fame is housed inside this complex.

Niagara Falls Deluxe Tour (operated by Swiftrans)

Niagara FallsGuests will go on a Niagara Falls tour that is guaranteed to stimulate their senses and leave them with memories that will last a lifetime. The tour will make its way down the scenic Niagara Parkway to awe-inspiring views of the falls (or view the magnificent illumination of the Falls at night if a later departure is chosen).

Guests will marvel at Niagara's amazing Floral Clock and spacious parklands as the strong bouquet of fragrant flowers surround them.
