Accommodations

The organizers of the 5th Science Centre World Congress have taken great efforts to select and provide a choice of congress hotels at a range of price levels. Each property also has strong environmental and waste management policies reflecting the mandate to present a Green Congress. Please support our efforts by booking your accommodation at one of the designated congress hotels. If you do not wish to reserve your accommodation at this time, please download this housing form and fax it to us at your convenience. Please note that room availability is very limited and 5th Science Centre World Congress organizers advise to book early.

Note: Delegates selecting the Science North program are responsible for making their own accommodation arrangements for Sudbury. Please see information under Science North for hotel information in Sudbury.

Breakfast is not included. Guests are requested to re-confirm their departure date after check-in at the hotel, as early checkout fees will apply.

InterContinental Hotel Toronto Centre – Headquarters Hotel

With its address on Front Street, adjacent to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, the InterContinental offers 586 rooms with complimentary high-speed Internet access and stunning views of either Lake Ontario or the city’s bustling downtown. Location: 0.10 kilometres/0.06 miles from the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Turn West on Front Street.

By Subway: Walk south on Yonge Street to College Street. Follow Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) sign to College station, travel south to Union station and follow signs to MTCC.
By Foot: Go south on Yonge Street towards Grenville, turn right onto College, go left on University then turn right on Front Street.

Location: 1.6 kilometers/0.99 miles from the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
By Subway: Walk north on Chestnut Street to Dundas, then west on Dundas Street to University Avenue. Follow Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) sign to St. Patrick subway station, go South to Union station then follow the signs to MTCC.
By Foot: Go south on Chestnut towards Armoury, turn right on Armoury then take a left on University Avenue, and finally turn right onto Front.

All reservations must be accompanied by a payment guarantee for the first night.

NOTE: Please make sure the credit card provided is valid until June 2008.

Rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations made directly at the hotel by the participant will not be accepted at the congress rate.
